Planet Friends Motion Pictures (PFMP) is a revolutionary ideation that intends to bring about unconventional & corporate style of movie making. PFMP is brain child of power couple Mrs. Usha Sanjay & Dr. Sanjay Babu who are ardent movie maniacs, having watched thousands of movies across all genres, languages & types, always felt that there is a lot of scope for content improvisation & the execution methodology. Across the world movie industry has been one of the oldest and fast growing industry of modern times in the backdrop of technology revolution. Audience have got smarter, choosy and want to see fresh content and tight narrations. PFMP intends to address this audience need by producing Feature Films / Short Films / Web Series / Documentaries / Travel Logs / Awareness Campaigns etc.
The need being established, after doing due deliberation & consulting the industry heavy weights Mr. & Mrs. Sanjay incorporated PFMP in 2021 at garden city Bengaluru. PFMP has kicked off its first project immediately with a bilingual psychological thriller which will hit the screens in the beginning of 2023. PFMP is working rigorously with national & international movie industry personnel’s scouting for a meaningful, commercially viable & strategically executable project. PFMP is working closely with all governments, statutory bodies, organisations, artists, technicians, production houses for collaboration as needed.
DR. SANJAY BABU
Dr. Sanjay has been a visionary entrepreneur with an undeterred goal of socio-economic upliftment of the common class. Right from his college days having enrolled himself in National Cadet Corps (NCC) represented the college & division for the Republic day parade. The nationalism and discipline inculcated by NCC in him has been pivotal in most of his decision making and perseverance while chasing some of his big dreams to reality.
His various stints in the banking industry gave exposure & deeper understanding of banking domain be it Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Insurance & Investment Banking. Having garnered this experience, he envisioned to digitize the Co-Operative banking sector. His brain child to digitize paved way to technology driven approach for Co-Operative Society based banks. His clear vision to drive customer centric operations using innovative technologies made him the Chairman & Director of a Co-Operative bank in Karnataka & Maharashtra. This feat of his was path breaking bench mark for other Co-Operative Society based banks to replicate this model & drastically reduce their Opex. His passion for FinTech made him to be a part of FinTech Technology Company with operations in Finland, Dubai & India catering SaaS models to various banks.
As a part of Comet Technologies a PPP model, he was instrumental in streamlining the e-governance. His out of the box strategies & easy execution plans not only saved crores of rupees to all the involved government & private organizations but also gave the end customers-common man, primarily farmers, under privileged people, uneducated class quicker resolutions make it a win-win solution for all.
His never dying concern towards up-lifting socio-economic causes of the mass was recognized by International Human Rights & Welfare Trust. In 2020 Sanjay Babu was hand-picked to be the Karnataka State President & also the Editor-In-Chief of their in-house national newspaper “Fullertone News”.
In his entrepreneurial journey he saw opportunity to contribute to the unorganized film industry. In 2021 he established “Planet Friends Motion Pictures” a production house with a vision to create a platform for the talented professionals who otherwise always felt entering movie industry to be a distant dream. He envisions promoting & inculcating good practices and bringing in corporate style approach in movie making. In this pursuit he has been meticulously identifying the best stories, scripts, music, technicians & the right actors & actresses and packaging all of it to a feature film – a real treat to the audience. A big budgeted Farmer based Kannada movie is awaiting release & a Kannada-Tamil bilingual Suspense Thriller is in the making, while six other projects are in discussion & consideration phase.
His never give up attitude drives him to multitask and engage himself to causes which benefit many.
He is a people’s person – All his peers, colleagues, subordinates – overall his team vouches for it. He loves nature & considers himself to be a travel freak. In his spare time, which he seldom finds, loves to spend with his family & friends. An ardent dreamer, willing contributor wants to be remembered as one who did his bit to make this world a better place!!
